PEORIA, Ill. -- District 150 officials confirm former Charter Oak Principal John Wetteraurer has submitted a letter of resignation.

He submitted the letter on Tuesday. It is effective immediately.

Wetteraurer was the focus of a district investigation into ISAT testing irregularities at Charter Oak.

He was reassigned earlier this year to principal on assignment at another district school before requesting medical leave.

The school board will consider Wetteraurer's resignation at a meeting on Monday night.
