Former U.S. Representative arrested

ZIMBABWE -- Former U.S. Representative Melvin Jay Reynolds of Illinois has been arrested in Zimbabwe.

State-controlled newspaper, The Herald, reports Reynolds was taken into custody for allegedly having pornographic material and violating immigration laws.

The Democrat resigned from his congressional seat in 1995 after being convicted of 12 counts of statutory rape, solicitation of child pornography, and obstructing justice.
