BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Four people have been arrested after it was discovered they were involved with selling and distributing a synthetic drug called "Blue Heaven".
The "Operation Storefront" investigation resulted in the arrests of the following individuals:
* Ghassan Qahwaji, 48, of Bloomington
* Ghiath Qahwaji, 39, of Bloomington
* Hicham Rharabi, 32, of Normal
* Hani Al-Maghayred, 35, of Bloomington.
Ghassan, Ghiath, and Rharabi are being held on $200,000 bond. Al-Maghayred is being held on $100,000.
Authorities discovered the four individuals had been selling the Synthetic Cannabinoids from three locations of Global Tobacco, two of which were in Bloomington and one in Champaign.
Police also seized large amounts of suspected synthetic drugs ready for sale worth approximately $1 million.
