Frontier completes $3 million Broadband Internet investment in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Frontier Communications has completed a $3 million broadband investment that includes faster internet speeds to hundreds of homes in Lake Bloomington, Pontiac, Downs, Hopedale and Morton.

The network upgrades include 5.2 miles of fiber optic cable and three redundant fiber rings. These network upgrades and expansions will offer residential internet speeds up to 25 Mbps. Businesses may have access to services up to 40 Mbps.

Nationally, Frontier has invested more than $1.5 billion to support the rapidly growing communication infrastructure needs during the last few years, $190 million of those capital expenditures were invested in the state of Illinois.
