GALESBURG, Ill. -- Officials say changes are coming to the City of Galesburg's recycling program.
The program will now have an every other week pick-up schedule as approved by city council.
The change will become effective in December and will only involved recycling, and not the garbage portion of the program.
For recycling only, each route has been split in two, creating an "odd" and "even" schedule.
Waste Management has produced a calendar specific for each area of town to identify recycling days. This calendar, says city staff, is currently being mailed out to residents.
