Galesburg man killed during shooting incident

GALESBURG, Ill. -- One man is dead, another arrested following an early morning shooting in Galesburg.

20 year old Cody Delacruz faces involuntary manslaughter charges in the death of 18 year old Isaiah Stevenson.

Police found Stevenson in the basement of 484 Olive Street with a single gunshot wound around 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

Stevenson was transported to Galesburg Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Delacruz is being held in the Knox County Law Enforcement Center after making his initial court appearance via video on Thursday.

He is due back in court March 18th.
