GALESBURG, Ill -- A stabbing leaves one Galesburg man dead.
According to the Peoria County coroner, 23-year-old Robert Kilgore died Sunday morning at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was transported there after he was found in front of a home at 18 Chestnut Street in Galesburg a little after midnight.
Galesburg authorites say suspect Kai A. Lefler, 25, of Oneida, Ill. was taken into custody.
Lefler has been charged with murder and aggravated battery and is currently being held in the Knox County Law Enforcement Center.
An autopsy for Kilgore is scheduled for Monday as the investigation continues.
