CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- If you've filled up at the gas station lately, you've definitely noticed your money is going just a little bit farther than a week ago.
Gas prices fell 12 cents in the Peoria area over the last week, averaging $3.19 a gallon.
In Normal, the price per gallon fell below the $3 mark.
Experts say prices have fallen nearly a quarter since last month.
However, analysts at GasBuddy.com says gasoline prices in some areas could potentially set all-time record highs for Christmas Day.
