Gas prices are on the rise, but remain lower than last Thanksgiving.

The national average is $3.26 a gallon. The Illinois average is just above that at $3.32 for a gallon of unleaded. That is about $.21 cheaper than last year.

Locally the average is even lower at $3.19 a gallon. The cheapest fuel we found was $3.05 in Bloomington.
