PEORIA, Ill. -- Average retail gas prices in Peoria have risen five cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.62 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy.com.
This compares with the national average that has increased 5.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.55 per gallon.
Including the change in gas prices in Peoria during the past week, prices Sunday were 17.3 cents per gallon higher than the same day in 2012 and are 40.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
The national average has increased 28.2 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 7.2 cents per gallon higher than the same day in 2012.
