PEORIA, Ill -- Average retail gasoline prices in Peoria have risen 10.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.26 per gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 148 gas outlets in Peoria.
This compares with the national average that has increased 3.0 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.27 per gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Peoria during the past week, prices Sunday were 5.4 cents per gallon lower than the same day in 2011 and are 18.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 13.2 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 1.7 cents per gallon higher than they were in 2011.
