PEORIA, Ill -- Bradley fans will be swapping their red and white for pink later this month in honor of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Players from both the men's and women's teams will be donning pink uniforms to honor breast cancer survivors.
The Bradley men's basketball "pink" game will be Feb. 16 when the Braves host Indiana State in a 1 p.m. game at Carver Arena, while the women's basketball "pink" game will be the following week, Feb. 23, when the Braves host Creighton in a 2 p.m. game at Renaissance Coliseum.
Breast cancer survivors are invited to attend the games for free. Any survivor interested needs to visit the box office at Renaissance Coliseum before 5 p.m. On Feb. 14 to pick up a ticket.
"'Go Pink, Go Bradley' is a great way for Bradley University and the Susan G. Komen Memorial Affiliate to spread the breast health message while also raising money for local community health grants and research," said Gina Morss-Fischer, Susan G. Komen Memorial Affiliate Development Director.
There will be mammogram screenings outside the games through the Methodist Mamovan and you can sign up to be a part of Team Bradley to participate in the 2013 Race for the Cure as well.
