BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – City of Bloomington golf courses raised $1,084 for veterans over the Labor Day weekend.

The Den at Fox Creek, Prairie Vista and Highland Park golf courses hosted “Patriot Golf Day”. The courses joined with the PGA of America and the United States Golf Foundation to raise funds for the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides post-secondary educational scholarships to children and spouses of military men and women killed or disabled in service.

Golfers were asked to donate $1 for each round of golf they played. Between the three courses, golfers contributed $1,084 in donations, including a portion of pro shop sales.

This is the seventh year for the event.
