PEORIA, Ill. -- Goodwill Industries has unveiled a new look inside its renovated headquarters in Peoria.

Several people were on hand for the ribbon cutting at the 30,000 square foot facility which sits at the top of East War Memorial Drive.

The Goodwill Commons houses a new veterans’ service center, a large youth mentoring area and expanded classrooms and training rooms.

"A year ago we could only serve 16 program participants at any one time and today we can serve a hundred plus at any one time,” said Patty Fuchs, Goodwill President & C.E.O. “Re-purposing of this building is a big step on our journey."

The $4.5 million renovation also includes state of the art technology and conference rooms.

The project was financed with low interest bonds.
