SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Governor Pat Quinn says he will act on Tuesday on Senate Bill 183, the concealed carry bill.
On Monday though Quinn refused to give any hint of what his plan is.
"I'm going to be acting on that imminently, so stay tuned," said Quinn.
When asked about making about making any changes in the bill, Quinn said, "you'll find out very shortly."
Quinn could sign the bill as-is, or use his amendatory power to change the scope of concealed carry.
The website of the backers of Concealed Carry reports unconfirmed reports that Quinn will make several changes to the concealed carry bill, including reversing a signage provision, meaning concealed carry would only be allowed where there are signs saying stating that fact.
Again, that's an unconfirmed report.
The Governor will hold a news conference at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning.
