NORMAL, Ill -- While the students are on spring break, thousands of moms have taken over the campus of Illinois State University.

More than 5,000 women registered for the annual Hearts at Home Conference.

It's a two day event that educates and encourages moms in all stages.

Friday the women attended workshops and celebrated with a 'mom's night out' featuring music, a comedian, and much more.

Jill Savage, the CEO of Hearts at Home said, "A time when they can really fill up their-selves, and they can actually kind of re-charge their mom batteries because when you take care of yourself, you take care of your family."

"I come because of the camaraderie that we have and you realize your not the only one that's going through these things. Other people have dealt with the things you've dealt with from toddlers going through pre-teens and now my kids are teenagers," said Starla Dunn at mother of three.

The more than 5,000 women at the conference are mother's to more than 12,000 children!
