EL PASO, Ill. -- The blues bucket RV: you might be wondering why this home on four wheels is parked near Faulks furniture. Not only does it grab your attention, but it plays a major role in an independent movie called "We Be Kings", being filmed in El Paso.

The movie is about an older blues guy and his wife singing the blues in the deep south. His wife then slips into a coma due to complicated health issues. He becomes drunkenly depressed and starts traveling north, gets stuck in a blizzard, and almost dies. That's when two youngsters, both with a passion for music, stumble upon him.

"We pull him in and find out he's this crazy musician and were musicians, too," said Bianca Ryan, who plays the character of "Layla".

The three characters travel in the 'blues bucket', and perform music together at various venues to try and raise money to send the man back home.

In fact, both Bianca and Jonathon Long, who plays the character Dustin, wrote their own music for the movie while also acting in the film.

We Be Kings will be shooting a scene at the Super 8 motel in El Paso, but the town is just one of many locations across central Illinois that they are filming.

"We've done shots in Peoria, we've done shots in Roanoke at Club 116, we've done shots in El Paso and Normal," explained Long.

"It just shows how this town is a representative town of small town America and it's sort of an honor to be chosen for that," said Mayur Patel, Super 8 Motel manager.

As for the ending, well, can't give that away, but they are hoping the film will hit store shelves.
