Hospital placed on lockdown after threat

PEKIN, Il. -- A disgruntled patient lead to a lockdown of Pekin Hospital Friday evening.

Police say 61-year-old Ray Herman made a threat to his doctor in the medical office building, located on the hospital property just before 5pm.

Following protocol, the entire property was placed on lockdown, the Pekin Police Department and Tazewell County Sheriff alerted.

Authorities released the lockdown after determining the Hospital property safe.

Herman was located a few miles away at a local restaurant.

He was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct.
