NEW YORK, NY -- Hostess Brands officials say Tuesday's contract talks with the Baker's Union failed to produce any movement and that the company is going ahead with plans to liquidate.

A court-order mediator had been a part of Tuesday's talks to no avail.

The Secretary of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Union said "it's over" when he left the talks.

Hostess officials plan to go to court Wednesday morning in New York City to again seek to liquidate the company.

Union officials say the company has been badly managed and would likely end up in bankruptcy court even if union members gave in to company demands for concessions.
