WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Hotels are poised to rake in nearly $2 billion in surcharges and fees this year.
The number of hotels charging for fitness centers and in-room Internet access is rising, as is the number of people complaining about wi-fi fees.
A hotel trade group reports nearly a quarter of its members charge guests for Internet access.
One bright spot is that industry analysts say hotels appear to be running out of "new" things to charge for...for now.
