PEORIA, Ill.-- A house fire in Peoria left five people displaced this morning.
The Peoria fire department responded to a call at 1919 N North street at 8:35 this morning.
Battalion Chief Keith Wagner says the call reported that there were still people inside the home.
More than 30 firefighters were on the scene and did an initial search of the building.
The crews did not find anyone inside and the five residents of the home were out safely.
The fire was extinguished in less than 20 minutes and no one was injured.
Estimated damage is $80,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
