Hundreds of dollars in counterfeit money discovered at Big Al's

PEORIA, Ill. -- The Secret Service has taken possession of hundreds of dollars of counterfeit $20 bills that were discovered at Big Al's, 400 SW Jefferson Ave.

Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 1 a.m. Monday after a customer realized money he had exchanged with another person were counterfeit.

Additional fake $20 bills were found in the register, with another customer, in a deposit bag and with one of the strip club's dancers.

A witness told police that they believed the suspects purchased the counterfeit from a group of Hispanic men in the North Valley.
