ISP Bust Underage Drinking Party

PEORIA, Ill. -- Illinois State Police said they were alerted about an underage drinking party by a tip through the DrunkStopper.com website.

The anonymous tip pointed ISP District 08 troopers to 16397 Township Road 00N in Speer. An investigation confirmed that a party was indeed taking place at the residence, leading officers to arrest the following people: 

Christopher Bohannan, 20, of Dunlap
Derek Fjelstad, 20, of Chillicothe
Nicolas Furness, 19, of Princeville
Jaymie Hurt, 17, of Peoria
Amber Connolly, 17, of Peoria
An unidentified 16-year-old juvenile

All subjects were arrested and released on a notice to appear in Stark County Court. They all face charges of Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. 

The DrunkStopper.com website was created by the Tazewell Teen Initiative after the deaths of 15 Tazewell County teenagers in 2005 and 2006. Through this website, citizens can leave anonymous tips involving underage drinking, fake IDs, illegal sales of alcohol and any other teen violations.
