Illinois American Water installs new well

PEORIA, Ill. -- Illinois American Water is investing one million dollars in a new ground water well for its treatment plant.

The new well includes about 1,500 feet of water main which will help improve the treatment process.

"The use of more ground water will benefit customers." said Illinois American Water Spokesperson Karen Cotton.

It will be built above the flood plane and will protect the water supply.
