Illinois American Water announces Main Street lane closures

PEORIA, Ill -- Illinois American Water announced on Friday that in conjunction with the construction for the Marriot Hotel, that they have work to perform on Main Street between Madison and Monroe.

Illinois American Water says that they need to close the Outside Southbound lane as well as the parking lane, in order to safely perform the work.

Traffic will be limited to one Southbound lane.

Work is scheduled to begin the work on Wednesday, January 2. The work is expected to continue until January 17, weather and conditions permitting.
