Illinois Army National Guard solider dies during training

RIVERDALE, Ill. -- The Illinois Army National Guard in is mourning after loosing one of its soldiers.

The Guard announced that on Friday, September 13th, 1st Class Officer Jerome Baker died while conducting fitness training at Fort Custer in Augusta, Michigan.

The 29 year old was from Riverdale, Illinois and leaves behind four young daughters.

Baker had been a solider in the Illinois Army National Guard for 11 years.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
