Illinois Powerball pushes to new record at $425 Million

ILLINOIS -- Brisk sales over the Thanksgiving holiday week helped set a record Powerball jackpot.

According to Illinois Lottery, no one matched all six numbers in Saturday night's drawing.

The Powerball jackpot now stands at $425 million dollars, the largest jackpot in Powerball history.

Lottery officials estimate that continued strong sales may push the jackpot even higher before the next drawing this Wednesday.

Powerball drawings are every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased until 9:00 p.m. on the night of the drawing.
