SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Illinois lawmakers are cutting down on their upcoming session in Springfield.
The January "Lame Duck" session for the Illinois House and Senate will be shorter as both have confirmed cancelled days.
The senate is scheduled to meet January 2-4 and the house won't be in session until January 6.
Potential topics on the table include driver's licenses for illegal immigrants, pensions and gay marriage.
New lawmakers are scheduled to be sworn in January 9.
