NORMAL, Ill -- Alumni from all over Central Illinois found their way back home for Illinois State's Homecoming weekend.
Current students along with Alumni showed up to "spread the red" at ISU's annual homecoming football game.
Fifteen parking lots were jam packed for the traditional tailgating.
Officials say dozens of people came as early as 5 a.m. to reserve their spot.
Alumni returning home, say they've made tailgating a family tradition.
"We're tailgating, I'm a big ISU fan. I was a swimmer here, so I love to come back and support our redbirds," said ISU Alum, Brittany Armstron.
"I saw last year's Homecoming King, he was in some of my classes so that was good and seeing some of my old buddies I used to live with. It's always fun," said ISU Alum, Mitch Johnston.
This year's homecoming marks Illinois State's 92nd celebration.
