Job Seekers Have Opportunity with URS

PEORIA, Ill. -- Dozens of area residents are hoping to land a job at URS Corporation.

The company is holding a job fair Tuesday at the Associated Bank Building on Northeast Jefferson in Peoria.

URS provides engineering, construction and technical services for public and private entities.

"We definitely have a big need right now," said Recruiting Specialist Patricia Newhalfen. "We have to go outside the county to bring people in and military job fairs and through other means, so we definitely want to make sure we at least tap the local talent first."

URS is looking for 50 full-time employees.

The job fair at URS goes until 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
