CHILLICOTHE, Ill -- Friends and family are continuing their search Wednesday for missing 22-year-old Julie Peters.

Several dozen people searched Wednesday in the Chillicothe and Mossville areas for any sign of Peters.

She was last seen four days ago, at a wedding reception Saturday night. She left the American Legion in Chillicothe sometime between 10:30 and 11:00 pm.

Officials at the Peoria County Sheriff's Department said they are actively investigating her disappearance and they have no new information to release at this time.

Friends and family are now asking for you help.

"She lived in Edwards, she may have left Chillicothe to go to Edwards," said Abby Maurer, Peters' friend. "Check just anywhere over the guard rails, anywhere that looks like there is grass that's been flattened out or trees missing or anything. Just take a minute and get out of your car and just look."

Stacy Peters, Julie's sister said the entire family is taking it hard and asks for the public's help as well.

"If you have any information please either call the Peoria Police Department or Chillicothe Police Department or call 911 if you see her or her car," Peters said.

Julie Peters is about 5'6", 130 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was driving a silver 2006 Chevy Impala with license plate P507471.

Anyone information is urged to call authorities.
