PEKIN, Ill. -- Jury selection began Monday in Tazewell County in the murder trial of James Johnson.

He is accused of killing Justin Siebenthal last June.

The star witness in the Johnson trial is expected to be Carlton Neely, who admittedly accompanied Johnson on a trip to East Peoria, to Justin Siebenthal's home, allegedly to rob Siebenthal of marijuana.

The alleged robbery attempt went bad, a struggle ensued and Siebenthal was fatally shot.

Johnson and Neely fled the area, but were arrested the next week in New Mexico.
