PERU, Ill. -- A LaSalle teen has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for burning down the Westclox Factory in Peru.
The now 18-year-old Steven Gallacher must serve 85 percent of that sentence, or at least eight and a half years.
Gallacher and a 15-year-old boy started the fire in the historical factory just before midnight on New Year's Eve.
One firefighter was injured in the fire that smoldered for several days, causing more than $400,000 in damage.
Gallacher will spend about two weeks in intake in Joliet before the Department of Corrections decides in which facility he'll be held.
