EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- It's your last chance to check out all the lights at Folepi's Winter Wonderland.

Organizers say this year, they've seen an increase of visitors due to an early opening.

An estimated $20,000 was collected since the Wonderland's opening on Thanksgiving, which was eight days earlier than last year.

Organizers said this was a good way for them to bring in new families.

"When we opened earlier, it was thought maybe people are in town for Thanksgiving weekend and have never seen it and they are here for that weekend, so now they have an opportunity to come through, and it's just kind of a tradition with East Peoria. With the parade its always a good tradition, and this is just something to keep the holiday going," said East Peoria Grounds Manager Doug McCarty.

The Winter Wonderland closes officially at 9 p.m. Monday night. Entry is $10 per car.
