WASHINGTON, Ill. -- Governor Quinn, Congressman Aaron Schock and many other state legislators joined the Mayor of Washington on Monday for a tour of the destruction.

Mayor Manier became very emotional while talking about the damage.

"It is emotional, I mean I love this community, I love the people in it. And when you look and see the people that have lost everything. My house is fine so I almost feel guilty," said Washington Mayor Gary Manier.

"I was standing in neighborhoods where there is nothing more than just the street left. All the homes are gone, as you can see behind me complete devastation, but in a town this size with this kind of devastation to have such minimal loss it really says a lot about the community," said U.S. Representative Aaron Schock, (R) IL 18th.

Emergency management agencies are inspecting the damage.

After they get estimates, state and federal funding can be given.
