BLOOMINGTON Ill -- A historic mansion in Bloomington brought history to life Saturday.

It was in honor of the our 16th President's approaching birthday.

Abraham Lincoln's 204th birthday is this Tuesday.

The David Davis Mansion held live tours in honor of the 16th President, along with an Honest Abe impersonator.

The mansion was home to Judge David Davis, who was Abraham Lincoln's close friend and political ally during Abe's run for office.

"We went through the tour, and it was really neat. They talked about some stuff about Lincoln that I really didn't know," said visitor, Jack Jones.

"It's also a great opportunity to celebrate the relationship between David Davis and Abraham Lincoln," said site manager, Marcia Young. "We wouldn't be here today if David Davis and Abraham Lincoln weren't such close friends. So much of the Lincoln history is tied into the history of this site."

The live tours ran until four this Saturday.

Free year-round tours of the mansion run from Wednesday through Sunday.
