POTTSTOWN, Ill.-- Church officials of a small congregation in Pottstown are seeking help after flooding caused major damage underground.

The basement of the Good News Full Gospel Church flooded to the ceiling after the ground gave way near the foundation.

Church officials are asking the community to help in any way.

The property owners say they do not have flood insurance and they can not continue services without the lower level.

The Pastor’s Wife Olevia Hall said, "We come down there and sit, you know fellowship hall, we sit down there, have our coffee and eat, there's rest rooms down stairs. When we looked, everything was under water. The mudslide had half of the ground fell down in to the basement. We were devastated."

Good News Full Gospel has been at the Pottstown location for only three years.
