PEKIN, Ill -- We received numerous complaints Monday about a local restaurant, who refused to honor a national Veteran's Day promotion.

As many national food chains, Denny's advertised free All-You-Can-Eat-pancakes to military personnel Monday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

But when residents went to the Denny's in North Pekin, they found a sign on the door stating the restaurant was not participating in the offer.

The owner of the restaurant, Eddie Rice, declined to comment on camera but did say that there was some confusion between the restaurant and the national chain.

Rice says he will honor the Free All-You-Can-Eat pancake promotion, even if a day late.

The offer is only good tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the North Pekin Denny's Location.

Veterans must display proper identification or documentation of their service when ordering.
