BARTONVILLE, Ill. -- Tonight is the night. Will a local businessman sink or swim on the national television show, Shark Tank?

Dave Alwan owns Echo Valley Meats in Bartonville.

He recently pitched an idea to business moguls on the show, hoping at least one of them will invest.

Alwan said it was an intense experience.

"My motto was wow them or go home. I've very passionate and enthusiastic about what I do everyday and it's how I live my life," he said. "You have two minutes to pitch to three producers and they're supposed to give you two minutes back and they gave me 15 minutes back. So from moment one, it was a great experience along the way because they were intrigued as well.

Shark Tank airs tonight at 8 o'clock on WHOI 19 ABC.
