PEORIA, Ill. -- The owners of Haddad's say the 24-hour boil order left them with few options. Many fresh food items and even soda were taken off the menu-- leaving mostly fried food.

Employees came in two hours early Tuesday morning to boil pots of water, but that wasn't their biggest concern.

"Usually by this time we have a ton of people coming in, but now even when you look outside there's no one walking around," said Haddad's Downtown owner Rita Speck. "I think it's because people might have brought their food in today thinking it'd be more safe, so right now it's been pretty slow."

Since the water is back on, Haddad's is now serving its full menu.
