PEORIA, Ill. -- A local businessman is about to tread some dangerous waters on HOI 19.

Dave Alwan is the owner of Echo Valley Meats* and recently got a chance to pitch an idea to the business moguls on ABC's hit show, 'Shark Tank.'

The show allows small businesses across the country to pitch their idea to five investors.

If one of them likes the idea, they can bid on it, owning part of the business. Dave Alwan's swim in the tank airs on April 5.

Alwan won't go into the details of what his idea is, or if he got a deal, but he did say it had to do with meat.

"There's a lot of different ways to get it to customers, and how its produced and what all it entails. So you'll just have to watch the show and see the outcome yourself," Alwan said.
