PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria Police say the man who escaped custody from them Saturday has turned himself in.
Officials says 20-year-old Courtney Trapps turned himself in at the Peoria Police Department front desk around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.
Trapps had escaped from police custody earlier in the day while he was being transported to a patty wagon.
Police say Trapps managed to roll down a window and open the vehicle door from the outside before fleeing on foot.
Trapps now faces the charges of his warrant and a new escape charge.
