NORWOOD, Ill. -- Members of one local group rolled up their sleeves Saturday to help a Norwood homeowner.

It was a day of replacing trim, scraping off old paint and landscaping for "rebuilding together' volunteers.

They're helping do the work on Henry Johnson's home and garage.

"The people we help have work all their lives and been able to take care of their homes and they're a little older now, maybe disabled and we're here to help them keep their home warm and safe and secure," said rebuilding together volunteer Kathi Lowder.

"It feels great, I cleaned up all my house organized it real well. It's the best it's ever been. I hope I can keep it that way," said homeowner Henry Johnson.

There were over 30 volunteers working on the home.
