PEORIA, Ill. -- Some area students are getting big time encouragement from some of the area's most prominent leaders.

Students are being encouraged to 'Dream Big' during the annual Middle School Global Leadership Summit at Peoria Academy.

Caterpillar CEO Doug Oberhelman was among the area leaders offering words of inspiration to the students.

The students come from public, private secular and parochial schools in the Peoria area.

"The theme is dream big, so we just want our students to explore their dreams and validate their dreams and we want them to not to be stopped by any environmental affects around them or their background. That they listen to those successful stories and get inspired by it and just follow their dreams,” said Organizer May Abouhouli.

The students also heard from Bradley University President Joanne Glaser, Caterpillar Senior Vice President Dave Bozeman and Motivational Speaker Chris Bower.
