CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- If you have an unused cell phone lying around the house, one local lawmakers would like you to donate it for a good cause.

State Representative Jehan Gordon-Booth is launching her 5th Cell Phones for Soldiers Drive.

Unwanted cell phones are collected, which are then sold to an e-recycler.

That money is then used to buy calling cards to be sent to soldiers overseas.

Each cell phone donated helps provides a member of the military two and a half hours of talk time with their loved ones back home.

If you would like to donate your phone, you can drop it off at one of three locations:

· Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth's District Office, 300 E War Memorial Drive, Suite 303, Peoria
· Peoria Heights Public Library, 816 E. Glen Ave., Peoria Heights
· Limestone Township Building, 1501 W. Garfield Ave., Bartonville
