Peoria, Ill. -- Kellar Primary School participated in the World-Wide "Thrill the World" event.
Students put on their best zombie and werewolf costumes and preformed Michael Jackson's famous Thriller dance.
Thousands of people in cities across the world joined in on the dance at the same time to attempt to break the record for the largest simultaneous dance.
It's not certain if the record was beaten, but faculty say it was worth the time.
"I love it because it got a lot of families out doing something different, moving. We like to get the kids moving. And it was just a good community event, we invited people from all over the community," said Kellar Primary Principal, Ken Turner.
Kellar Primary collected donations for the Children's Hospital of Illinois.
Organizers said next year, they hope for an even bigger turnout.
