Locke to join Matthew West at Emmy's

WASHINGTON, Ill. -- The memory of a Washington boy lives on on a big stage.

Julie Locke's son, Dax, passed away from Leukemia in 2009. Soon after, a made-for-TV movie chronicled the "Decorate for Dax" campaign.

Recently, Julie learned singer Matthew West's song "One Last Christmas", which was written for the movie, is up for an Emmy. West invited Julie to accompany him to the ceremony.

"When we got to go to the movie shoot in L.A., I just couldn't believe that I started a blog that has turned into this. Now look where we are. We are up for an Emmy nomination," said Locke.

The Emmy's will air on WHOI-TV Sunday, September 23.
