LINCOLN, Ill. -- A Logan County family's home was badly damaged due to an early morning fire.
Just after five Saturday morning, authorities were called to 702 Oglesby Avenue in Lincoln, where they found heavy smoke coming from the north side of the house.
Fire officials say working smoke detectors helped the family of three and their two dogs to escape unharmed.
There was smoke and water damage throughout the home. Most of it was in the kitchen and dining room. Investigators say the fire appears to be accidental. Damage is estimated at $150,000.
