Learning to ride a bicycle is an important part of most children's' lives.

But for those with physical disabilities, mastering a 2-wheeler can be very difficult.

"Lose the Training Wheels" is a week-long summer camp hosted by Easter Seals.

It uses specially designed bikes that allow children with disabilities to develop balance and coordination.

By the end of the week, they go through a huge transformation, and most ride without the special wheels.

Linda Barkdoll, the grandmother of one of the campers speaks to the camps' success, "A couple years ago, he had a bike, It was with training wheels, but he went head over heels and bloodied his mouth and that was the last time he rode his bike. It's wonderful, it's very emotional to watch him. He's really doing well. His first day."

The participants pay only $75, a large part of the cost is underwritten by the Lora DeAnn Broers memorial fund.
