WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The old saying is, "I don't much about art, but I know what I like'.

At Wellesley College in Massachusetts, it's more like; "I know art...but this is icky".

The art in question is a Life-like statue called "sleepwalker" showing a man walking in his underwear.

It was installed outdoors as part of a new art exhibit at Wellesley College.

Many people say the statue accomplishes art's goal of stimulating discussion and evoking a response.

One response was about a hundred students signing a petition asking for the statue's removal.

Another response "selfies" with the statue, and a sleeping snowman beside it.
